Celtic Woman Delightful
The show, as a big fan of Tim McGraw, I was eagerly anticipating, disappointed me. I was not there, nor was Orla the "ethereal," that David Downes was. However, the vivacious and engaging Chloe was present, and lovely Lisa did not disappoint.
The two I had never before seen or heard were Alex and Lynn. Each of the ladies had a remarkable voice, and they blended beautifully with Chloe and Lisa.
O, America, was moving and inspiring. Lynn sang a song about "Carolena," I think, I never could make out the words. Some of the songs were forgettable for me, mostly the songs from movies. I'm not really interested in hearing movie songs; I'd much rather hear Celtic music from the Celtic gals, and my friend agreed with me.
Usually, the costumes are gorgeous, but the ones they changed into after intermission were hideous with a dreadful silhouette, and poor Mairead had to prance and dance in hers! She acquitted herself beautifully, but the gown did its best to weigh her down.
In spite of my personal disappointments, the concert was fabulous. These women have phenomenal voices, and I would go see them again at every opportunity.
